Serpstat Is Recognized As The Best Tech Product At Product Hunt

Serpstat got recognized for its Search suggestions tool that gained over 1,000 upvotes on Product Hunt. The tool became the favorite SEO tool among Product Hunt’s visitors. It was also ranked at the top in the Tech category and took third place among the most popular tools of the week.

The product is a database of Google’s so-called autocomplete suggestions. It is simply what users see under the Google’s search bar as they type in their search request. Serpstat’s tool collects this data in real time and shows what suggestions are most likely to be shown by Google for any keyword at given time. This big database can be used as the source of ideas for content marketing strategy.

It is a big reward since nowadays Product Hunt has become the go-to website for startup companies to launch their new products or businesses. It is a great achievement and a smart move for the growing company.

 

 

Digital Future Announces SaaS Hakathon

Digital Future opened registration for the participation in SaaS-Hackathon, that will take place November, 18 to 20. The purpose of SaaS Hackathon is company’s educational initiative to offer tech specialists the opportunity to create commercial projects based on SaaS technology, which is one of Digital Future’s main focus of investment.

Saas is one of the most advanced and popular technology available today. According to Synergy Research the general value of the SaaS-solutions market in 2015 has increased by almost 40%, and in the next five years, they forecast three times rising.

While participating in SaaS-Hackathon, the teams will be doing theirt best to create a SaaS project as well as build up useful skills in the following areas:

  • Finding efficient ways to craft the product according to the needs of your target audience and quickly aquire customers.
  • Cooperate with best industry experts and mentors that can help improve the idea.
  • Use all the 48 hours of the event to bring the idea into a successful project and attract the investors.

Our first AI Hackathon in April this year resulted in many interesting ideas and projects. Ukrainian IT professionals have been trying to work with artificial intelligence and develop an understanding of how to implement large-scale projects based on this technology in the most efficient way. In addition, as a result of the first Ukrainian AI-Hackathon organized by Digital Future one of the finalists was named among the TOP 20 best B2B start-ups in Europe. The same team has won the Ukrainian preselection in the startups battle and will represent our country at the continental Startups battle in Poland soon.

Participants can join SaaS-Hackathon with their own idea or come up with idea as a part of the team during the event. Teams that already created SaaS projects can pitch their projects without competition. Pre-approval for the completed projects is required.

The event is supported by The App Solutions, an app development company. The jury is made up of the most prominent experts and mentors in the industry: Natalia Berezovskaya (Detonate Ventures), Ruslan Savchishin (MagneticOne), Eugene Sysoev (AVentures) as well as Oleksii Vitchenko, CEO of Digital Future.

Digital Future Is a Part of Lviv IT Arena-2016

Lviv IT Arena-2016, Eastern Europe’s largest IT conference Lviv IT Arena took place for the third year in a row. This year the representatives of IT market get together in order to discuss the most burning topics and the perspectives of the industry as well as attract the interest of foreign and local investors to Ukrainian technology sector.

According to the organizers, Lviv IT Arena gathered 2500 experts in the field of business innovation, both from Ukraine and international ones. Among the participants – more than 30% of foreigners, and the speakers were mainly Western markets and business. Among of them there were international experts from Twitter, Microsoft, Deloitte, Spotify, Philips and other global tech companies. Esther Dyson, the most powerful woman in IT industry according to the New York Times, also participated in the event.

Last year, the conference was named one of the most influential IT-event in Ukraine. This year, Stepan Veselovsky, co-organizer of Lviv IT Arena and CEO of Lviv IT Cluster, shared an ambitious plan to turn Lviv into the biggest technology hub across Eastern Europe. In addition, the building for innovative IT Park in Lviv was announced during the event.

Digital Future was represented by its CEO, Oleksii Vitchenko, who took an active part into the investment panel “Missing puzzle in Ukrainian startup” discussion. Oleksii said that people is one of the most important assets in any startup. He believes that it is possible to maximize the efficiency and growth of any business by creating a team of professionals. Moreover, the same rule applies towards investors. He added that there is an essential thing that can grab his attention instantly – the focus on global markets. “We invest in projects that can conquer international market,” said Oleksii. A good example of it is Lifetracker, one of Digital Future’s portfolio companies, because the idea behind this project has great potential to be popular among large international audience.

“Frankly speaking, there is a global trend that venture capital companies all over the globe now looking to invest in companies, not just ideas. The economic nature of venture capital is based on high degree of risk. Taking into account these risks, it is reasonable that international venture companies have many criteria for the projects they invest in. I mean they are looking for the startups that already demonstrate results, have a clear business model, and a great team,” Vitchenko said.

At the same time, Natalia Solomakhina, Head of the legal department, delivered her speech at “Confuse a lawyer” workshop devoted to the pecific cases the lawyers need to deal with in IT field.

The conference was divided into three sections: products, technology and businesses. More than 60 Ukrainian start-ups competed with each other in the Battle of startups. Tech Expo, the large-scale exhibition of technological developments featured many innovative products made in Ukraine.

This time Lviv IT Arena, an event aimed at the effective networking and international cooperation, was one of the best place to find new partners, investors, customers and the inspiration for the creation and development of start-ups.

Startupbootcamp Barcelona Looks for IoT Startups

On the 3rd of October Digital Future hosted a Fast Track event by Startupbootcamp IoT & Data Tech Barcelona. Startupbootcamp IoT & Data Tech aims to select bright startups in the field of Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality, Connectivity, Security and Internet of Things for its acceleration program. The Barcelona based acceleration program lasts three months in Barcelona. Four Ukrainian startup took part in Fast Track event: AIWorker, Periodix AI, Friends in Need, Wepster Support.

Now Ukrainian teams have a chance to be selected for the final round of comtetition. In the beginning of November, Startupbootcamp IoT & Data Tech will bring 20 selected startups among hundreds of the ones they have been meeting during the past months. During the next event, Selection Days, the 20 pre-selected startups will show their products in front of international mentors and will receive mentoring sessions from them during two days before they announce ten winners that will join the acceleration program.

During the course of an intensive three month program in the vibrant Barcelona, the final 10 selected startups work with 100+ mentors, coaches, partners and investors to build these disruptive technologies. The program officially ends with a magnificent Demo Day at the 4YFN stage of the Mobile World Congress, where startups pitch in front of over 700 potential customers, investors and mentors

Startupbootcamp invests €15,000 in each of the 10 selected startups, provides them with 6 months in a supportive co-working space and €450k in deals from partners including Google, Paypal and AWS. Each startup enters the alumni growth program after graduation, which includes access to the Startupbootcamp global support community and a series of yearly founder events.
