Hey tech folks, we are pleased to announce that Digital Future is hosting a meet-up with Michael Solana, VP Founders Fund in our conference hall on the next Tuesday, June 20th.
Michael is responsible for the firm’s brand and community building. Here is his short bio: http://foundersfund.com/team/michael-solana/
Founders Fund is a top-tier US #venture fund with $3b assets under management. It was founded by ex-PayPal people Peter Thiel, Ken Howery, Luke Nosek, and Brian Singerman, the founder of iGoogle. The fund was the first institutional investor in SpaceX and Palantir and one of the earliest investors in Facebook. Other very well known companies like Airbnb, Lyft, Spotify, Stripe are also in their portfolio.
Michael will have an open talk, followed with Q&A. In particular, he will talk about:
- the Founders Fund story as a contrarian narrative in the technology space;
- the importance of not just optimism but also determinate thinking and planning if you want to achieve large, important goals;
- case study, looking at a problem and the way most of the world thinks about it vs. the way two of our companies think about it;
- what is a valuable company.
